If I've given wholeheartedly these flowers my attention not only do I see the colour, vibrance and life in their petals but the reflection of my life, world and myself in their silky leaves. Folded with precision and creased with knowledge. My world is not all flowers blooming in the morning sun. Sometimes its the wilted decay of the dieing pastels or the stagnant water within the vase, or even the stained table from the bright pollen stems. My life cant always be free from unsightly or disdain, but my attention can be on how I view it. Lucky to have the flowers ~blessed to house them~ rather than sink into the pattern of effortlessly complaining about the course of all things changing. Let them pass, let them be. Flowers for my mind, whether they be blooming, wilting, cut, growing, or passing me by. The attention is in the reflection. Mindfulness is in the moment. Flowers are for but a moment in our life. As are some people, some situations, some cycles. If I give wholeheartedly to the moment I am in, surely I shall bloom like a flower in the sunlit room, mirror my growth to those AROUND ME and be at peace when the moment ends.
