One of my favourite (online) Yogis Ally Hamilton, wrote this the other day and I want to share it.
How are things with you right now?
As in, right this second?
Do you have enough time to stop, close your eyes and feel yourself inhale fully and pause,
and then and exhale fully and pause?
Maybe you've been so busy today you haven't really had a moment to check in with yourself.
If one mindful breath felt great, maybe you have time to take 9 more.
Giving yourself these moments to pause and breathe and examine how things are within you is a beautiful way to be accountable for the energy you're spreading as you move through your day.
Maybe you're going to realize you're feeling sad, or exhausted, or in need of a hug, or maybe you'll find you're feeling great, in which case you might look around and see if someone else looks like they could use a lift.
We all need community and support.
The reality is, you are never alone.
I know it can feel like you are, but truly, we are all connected in essential and profound ways.
If you're having trouble dipping in to that well,
getting on your mat is a great way to start to feel that connection.
