My longing to teach again was making everyday chores a chance to absorb in mini meditations. I was craving hard & in a really unhealthy admission I will say that I was starting to feel like I had less of a purpose. Almost as if my family & the duties of our home just weren't enough. It's true, teaching is my outlet. It's my offering of myself through something I deeply enjoy and thoroughly believe in. All the benefits aside, the tiny milestones I reach when I sink into time alone on the mat, pale in comparison to the buzz I get when I share the glory of understanding ourselves.
My 'Free Yoga for Medowie' event was on Saturday morning in the Community Centre. It was a real blessing to meet locals & a few from as far as Coffs Harbour.
Having an abundance of open & engaged community peeps was just what the doctor ordered.
Thank you to all the faces I got to meet & for sharing your efforts, energy and encouragement with me.
My daily mini meditations shall take on a bigger focus and some broader themes with you all in mind.
I'm determined to not take an entire year to warm up to my new surrounds. So the rest of my weekend involved taking some of my family to a 360* view from Gun Gun lookout. It certainly is a very pretty coastline that blesses us here. Some of the family slept in the car. I also treated myself to a fabulous Yin Workshop by Tahnee from Yoga For All.
I couldn't be more centred, revived and fully released across the lower back. So much juicy stuff dug into with 2 tennis balls ... Yum!
With this new month before us, I encourage you to look a little deeper into the reasons things are changing or not going your way. Perhaps searching for the answers quietly outdoors of an evening. Away from the screen, from a familia voice or routine. Under the lush moon & maybe even on a yoga mat.
If perhaps you have found your life shifting toward something not as you desire, or insurmountable in tasks that rarely please - it might be time to turn down the fuzz of life & turn up the volume of your heart speak ... Not your mind speak.
A lot of my close friends, family and community souls are shifting through some major life changes. As am I.
Personal & professional.
All with the one common thread.
Heart Work.
Deeply heartfelt stuff that has pressure cooked all it could.
All pressure releases. All ideals shift.
All things change.
What needs to be consistent through these times of doubt or disconnection is our Heart Work.
Sticking to what feels deeply true to our heart. Our inner guide. Personal moral. You know, that code that you may never speak of but feel it there. Working with you from time to time. It stops you from doing hurtful things, unlawful things, keeps you in line, keeps you on track. Helps you see truth & shines when you do great things.
In times of need, turn up the radio of the heart, dance into yourself & blend in with code that is uniquely YOU.
Until next month B~Followers remember this
•••ENCOURAGE OTHERS AND CHEER FOR THEM•••
Having an appreciation for how amazing the people around you are leads to good places – productive, fulfilling, peaceful places. So be happy for those who are making progress. Cheer for their victories. Be thankful for their blessings, openly. What goes around comes around, and sooner or later the people you're cheering for, will start cheering for you.
Peace & Shapes
