Hello there yoga community :)
After realising exactly how late this months offering was going to be I chose to embrace the ambiguous pace of this month.
On one hand I am excited to feel my first Autumn in NSW upon me & on the other I realise how quickly I reached for the recluse button with the first glimpse of these wintery winds. Goodbye Daylight savings & for me hello to earlier morning routines with my toddler ;)
The Community Centre is getting chilly of a morning now so to my cherished yogis who are making the effort, treat yourself to some woolly socks & bring them along for our Savasana ✌️
Make yoga a part of your morning routine - store away some tools to better your entire day.
Within the practice of Yoga there are fluent themes of release, recognise & regulate. You may not notice them all at once but over time you will find the common thread constantly weaving through your practice & eventually your life.
Release Regulate Recognise any effort of becoming the perfect image of one who 'does' yoga.
Recognise Release Regulate the inner self & the falsities it reveals to us as we allow Yoga to become us.
Regulate Recognise Release the way in which we live on this Earth.
Asanas - the shapes we make - are about releasing the tension that builds up in muscles, strengthening connectors & healing injuries. Building energy to shift through our 'vehicle' & sourcing the gift of your own intuition about any signals that vehicle sends you.
Pranayama - the control of breath through the body -
{Prana : universal life force
ayama : to Regulate - lengthen}
is about recognising how we breath & how to change it for the better. It's about calming the nervous system, re identifying with your spirit, shifting subtle sheaths of energy and healing the mind of all its' ailments.
Like all 8 limbs of Yoga, Pranayama is intricate, scientific & artful. I offer this beautiful link to read about all the benefits and effects you will discover with the art of breathing. Trust me it's worth the click.
Meditation - mastering the mind - is about revealing your true self. Tending to who you are not changing who you are. Remembering your three R's.
Not only do we personally reap the benefits of meditation but so does our family, community, so as to extend across our country & ultimately with idealistic hope, the entire world.
I wish you all a very inner ambitious month, one that your health wellbeing & happiness comes first.
Unfortunately there are a couple of Saturday's that I may not be offering a session, so flag these dates *April 18 + 25* to check in on the FB page before you get out of bed.
Until next time B~Followers remember to
BE YOUR IMPERFECTLY PERFECT SELF.
In this crazy world that's trying to make you like everyone else, find the courage to keep being your awesome self. And when they laugh at you for being different, laugh back at them for being the same. Spend more time with those who make you smile and less time with those who you feel pressured to impress. Be your imperfectly perfect self around them. We are not perfect for everyone, we are only perfect for those select few people that really take the time to get to know us and love us for who we really are. And to those select few, being our imperfectly perfect self is what they love about us.
